Gianni Versace was born in Southern Italy in 1946. When he grew up he worked in his mother's clothing store where he learned to sew, tailor and design clothes. He was soon discovered by other fashion designers and companies and eventually started his own fashion house. Through the years Versace has mixed the world of fashion with entertainment.
